Milano Jewellery Week 2025 marked yet another unforgettable chapter in my personal and professional journey. Returning for the second year as a Judge, I had the honour not only to evaluate extraordinary talent but also to present my own award, the Digital Voice Award, shining a light on designers who are transforming the digital jewellery landscape with innovation, storytelling, and artistic depth.

This year also brought new milestones: I found myself on stage more often—giving talks, presenting to audiences, and sharing insights on the evolution of jewellery through digital influence. Each moment reinforced the importance of community, creativity, and cultural exchange within this global event.
One of the joys of Milano Jewellery Week is the opportunity to discover and personally try on the work of exceptional designers whose artistry tells stories that transcend trends. Below are some of the standout creatives whose pieces I had the pleasure of experiencing this year.
Mehragin Rahmati — Founder of Mergin Jewellery & Winner of the Digital Voice Award
The first designer on my list is Mehragin Rahmati, whose journey into jewellery art began long before she ever touched metal or gemstones. With a background in graphic design, a successful career as a professional painter, and an academic path in clinical psychology, Mehragin’s creative evolution is as layered as her jewellery.
Through her brand Mergin, she fully steps into her true calling—crafting pieces that embody elegance, depth, and timelessness. Every creation tells a narrative, echoing her belief that jewellery must be both captivating and emotionally resonant.
This year, Mergin Jewellery was honoured with the Best Jewellery Digital Voice Award for its sophisticated craftsmanship and its brilliant fusion of tradition with modern digital storytelling. Mehragin’s work not only captivated me personally but also resonated deeply with audiences and fellow judges alike.

Fara Basta — Founder of Fara Basta Jewellery
The second designer I met was Fara Basta, the founder of @farabastajewelry, who presented one of the most powerful historically inspired pieces of the week:
“Delights of Hisham’s Palace”.
This extraordinary necklace is born from the rich visual legacy of the Umayyad Hisham’s Palace, a site over 1,200 years old. Each of its 11 enamel components echoes the palace’s breathtaking mosaics. Through Cloisonné, Paillonné, and enamel painting techniques, Fara revives centuries-old craftsmanship while embracing a modern artistic spirit.
Her creative process is a journey through time—a dialogue between past and present—which she shares beautifully in her full interview available on our Instagram platform. The necklace stands as a testament to cultural heritage transformed into wearable art, and it was a privilege to experience it first-hand during Milano Jewellery Week 2025.
Camila Weirich — Founder of SAL Jewellery
Another highlight was reconnecting with Camila Weirich, the visionary founder of SAL Jewellery and the recipient of the Trend Award at Milano Jewellery Week 2024.
A graduate of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and the University of Arts London, Camila has been shaping contemporary jewellery since 2011. In 2023, she established her Berlin studio, where she collaborates with master goldsmiths, renowned designers, and gemstone cutters. Her work bridges artistic storytelling with precise craftsmanship.
Camila’s innovative approach earned recognition from Harper’s Bazaar Italia, which presented her with the Milan Jewellery Award in 2024—an accolade celebrating her ability to merge tradition with a forward-thinking vision.
The Statement Earrings
Crafted from 16 grams of 18k gold, Camila’s Statement Earrings are inspired by Brazilian modernist landscape designer Roberto Burle Marx. Their fluid lines and sculptural curves create a harmonious balance between elegance and boldness. Set with brilliant-cut and baguette-cut stones, these earrings come alive with movement, subtly catching the light and illuminating the face.
The Sculpted Rings
Another standout piece from SAL Jewellery is the Sculpted Ring collection, featuring 8 grams of 18k gold and a hand-sculpted gemstone. Whether choosing a luminous transparent crystal or the mysterious depth of black onyx, each ring captures an elemental energy—sunrise or moonlight. The rings’ dynamic play of light and their substantial volume encourage an expressive, confident presence in the wearer.

Looking Ahead
Milano Jewellery Week 2025 has once again affirmed the boundless creativity within the global jewellery community. Being part of this world—as a judge, presenter, and passionate advocate—remains one of my greatest honours.
More designers will be added to this list as I continue to highlight the talents who shaped this year’s event. Their stories, visions, and creations deserve to be celebrated.
