Once again, Artistic Director Victoire De Castellane has revealed her latest Dior Joillerie high jewellery collection, "Dior Delicat" during Paris Fashion Week. The collection pieces, inspired and emulate the delicacy embroidery, uniting the earlier Gallons of Dior and Dearest Dior high jewellery collection. The rich hues of diamonds, rubies, emeralds, blue sapphires, rubellites and tanzanites unite the 79 jewellery pieces that consist of necklaces and tiaras, rings, bracelets and earrings. The collection showcases modernity, creativity, femininity, and boldness in particular through its transformable pieces; a diamond tiara which can be changed into a necklace, and a set of earrings which is comprised of earcuffs combined with earrings.

Inspired by Dior's couture universe one of the exceptional technical achievements of Dior Délicat is the combination of cuts and settings. The collection is like Christian Dior's embroidered gowns, which give the effect of the entangling and covering of the braids. In a further nod, the collections display fragile and assertive techniques used with Dior's masterful in-house stone cutters and goldsmiths working with a variety of cuts and settings to create the inherently geometric yet asymmetric pattern compositions so loved by Christian Dior. Other themes captured by the collection are colour gradients, asymmetry and exceptional stones, each piece with the finesses and lightness of lace, and interplaying with geometry and asymmetry, the jewels are coveted to perfectly follow the contours of the body like couture garments. The earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings highlighted in blue sapphires, rubies, emeralds, tanzanites, and rubellites reflected the delicate and feminine contours of the neck, wrist, and hand.

With both rounded and angular shapes a sculptural bracelet of white and yellow gold, diamonds, emeralds, and tsavorite garnets elevated the softness which acts as glistening highlights that amplify those bold colours.

Impressive earrings of white gold, diamonds, sapphires, and blue lacquer conjured up the chic depiction of a Haute Couture gown, cascading down the neck as if across a festive ballroom. Playfully romantic white and yellow gold with icy white diamond strands around the neck and across the collarbone spotlighting the power and desire manifested in a teardrop of yellow diamonds. Mimicking the delicacy of embroidery through the most precious materials, gems and gold are crisscrossed to create precious lines of thread, that intertwine, overlap, and separate the jewellery.

As a way of celebrating Monsieur Dior's lifelong love for floral hues, warmth for mother nature and utopian motifs, a white gold conglomeration of earrings, necklace, cuff bracelet, and double ring were enhanced with pique diamonds which summoned fragrant dreams of lush grass, flowers, and trees.
