The largest single-owner collection of jewels by the long-established Munich jewellery house, Hemmerle will lead Sotheby's fine Jewels sale in London on 26 November. The 12 one-of-a-kind contemporary designs that are emblematic of Hemmerle’s distinctive style, the perfectly balanced high-quality gemstones and unconventional materials, vibrant colours enhanced by impeccable craftsmanship, and the audacious melding of the ancient into modern design pieces will be showcased from one of the world’s leading contemporary houses, Hemmerle.

On 19th November Hemmerle's "Breakfast to Unveil" the largest single-owner collection of Hemmerle jewellery was presented by Kristian Spofforth and Christian Hemmerle at Sotheby's, just in time for Christmas. The breakfast was a presentation to Hemmerle's largest single owner collection ever to appear at auction at Sotheby's and the discussion with Christian Hemmerle, the great-grandson of one of the founders, who is now in charge of the company alongside his wife Yasmin and parents Stefan and Sylveli.

Christian Hemmerle, were under mixed emotions for seeing his collection, which was assembled over several years by a single collector to come to auction. Christian has described his feelings to be two-sided at times like this, at breakfast. "On one hand, you are sad to see people partying with what we've created, and on the other, you are delighted that the collection is being presented together at auction and not as individual pieces where context is lost".

The Sotheby's auction represents a rare and thrilling opportunity for Hemmerle fans to get their hands on the house’s pieces, since the house only creates a very limited number of pieces at their Munich workshop every year.

Sotheby’s London Fine Jewels sale will take place on 26 November. All lots will be on public view at the auction house's New Bond Street galleries from 22nd until 25 November.
