Jewellery creator Wallace Chan has returned to TEFAF New York between October 27 and November 1 at the Park Avenue Armory to showcase his new creations. More than 20 pieces of jewellery and 1 titanium sculpture by Wallace Chan are being exhibited at the fair, most of which are on show for the first time in New York.

 

Let's step into Wallace Chan's world, the world of treasure, art creations and jewellery curator and one of the most prominent jewellery artists of present day. With over forty years of experience in jewellery-making, Wallace Chan has stood out with his unconventional creations to mark his individuality.

 

And, Wallace Chan invented the technology to use titanium in jewellery through his intensive research as well as the jadeite thinning and luminosity-enhancing technology and surprised the world.

 

Below are part of over 20 jewellery pieces of Wallace Chan’s creation that are currently being showcased at TEFAF New York at the Park Avenue Armory: Sea of Joy (Brooch and Sculpture), Wonders of Life, (Earrings), Music on My Mind (Parure: Necklace, Earrings, and Ring) and Ruby Castle (Ring). Wallace Chan’s masterpieces will attract prestigious collectors, experts, curators, and art lovers from around the world at TEFAF New York.

Wallace Chan already showcased his creations at several international exhibitions: Masterpiece London (2017 & 2016), TEFAF (2017 & 2016, Maastricht & New York), and Biennale des Antiquaries (2012 & 2014, Paris).  On 24 October, at the invitation of Harvard Museums of Science and Culture, he delivered a speech in English at Harvard University to share his personal journey. The talk was very well received and appreciated by the audience.

 

 

 

He previously also delivered talks at Central Saint Martins (2017, London), the V&A Museum (2016, London), and the Cooper Hewitt Museum (2015, New York). And he is the first Asian jewellery artist to exhibit at the GIA headquarters (2011, US). In 2015, his first illustrated monograph was published worldwide by Rizzoli. In the same year, he was invited by Christie’s to hold a solo exhibition at the HKCEC.
